Washington Secures Minority Stake in Lithium Giant Thacker Pass

The U.S. government has taken a 5% equity stake in Lithium Americas (NYSE: LAC) and the Thacker Pass lithium project in Nevada, a joint venture with General Motors (NYSE: GM).

Energy Secretary Chris Wright emphasized the importance of reducing reliance on China by strengthening domestic supply chains. This federal stake comes alongside a $2.3 billion loan restructuring from the Department of Energy, advancing $435 million to jumpstart production.

The move follows a series of interventions: the Trump administration’s 10% stake in Intel, $400 million into MP Materials, and revenue-sharing deals with Nvidia and AMD.

Analyst Dan Ives of Wedbush called Thacker Pass a “massive opportunity” for U.S. energy independence. With production expected to supply lithium for nearly a million EVs each year, Nevada may soon be at the heart of America’s electrified future.

This is more than an investment, it’s a national strategy.

Trump-Pfizer Agreement Revives Global Pharma Markets

Pfizer’s landmark deal with President Donald Trump has injected new life into global healthcare markets. By agreeing to cut U.S. Medicaid drug prices in exchange for tariff relief, Pfizer has paved the way for a wave of similar agreements across the industry.

European healthcare stocks surged on the news, with Ambu, Sartorius, Roche, AstraZeneca, Novo Nordisk, Novartis, and GSK all rallying. Analysts now believe the policy fog is clearing, giving investors renewed confidence in a sector that has faced months of uncertainty.

This could mark a turning point for drugmakers balancing political pressure with market opportunity.

Blockchain’s Dynamic Duo: Zinger and Demeter Split the Spotlight

Dustin Zinger has been appointed CEO of SonicStrategy (CSE: SPTZ | OTCQB: DBKSF), bringing deep capital markets and operational expertise. Meanwhile, Mitchell Demeter, a blockchain pioneer, takes on the role of CEO at Sonic Labs while continuing as Executive Chair of SonicStrategy.

The announcement came at the Sonic Summit in Singapore, with both leaders setting the stage for global growth. This dual-leadership model reflects Sonic’s strategy to build best-in-class validator operations while expanding the Sonic ecosystem worldwide.

Trump Lights Up Cannabis Sector With CBD for Seniors

The cannabis sector is back in the spotlight.

President Donald Trump’s Truth Social post on CBD’s potential to “revolutionize senior healthcare” sent Tilray Brands, Canopy Growth, Aurora Cannabis, and Cronos Group soaring in premarket trading. The AdvisorShares Pure U.S. Cannabis ETF (MSOS) spiked over 25%, led by hopes of regulatory reform.

After years of volatility, could this be the inflection point that takes cannabis from a speculative trade to a legitimate healthcare and investment sector?
